Be the Change that YOU Desire!

52If you have a desire for change, you can start right from where you are. There is no need to go backwards to get to where you want to be. If you know what you want half the battle is over. The past is the past and it no longer exists, so don’t let it exist within you. Whatever it is you want to change or do different, just do it. Do not sit around beating yourself up over what you have done wrong or what you could have done differently. This will only keep you from moving forward.

Every moment you have is an opportunity to be who YOU want to be and do what YOU want to do. Be the change that YOU desire. You do not need anyone else’s permission. If someone in your life tries to discourage you, it is only because of their own insecurities and fears. Stay focused and present in every moment, for it is every moment that will create the next moment.

41For some, change is as simple as making the decision to change. For others, it is more difficult. If you find change difficult, it is simply because you are living more in your outer life than you are living through your Inner Life. Your outer life creates fear, resistance and negativity. Whereas, your Inner Life creates peace, joy and an unshakeable knowing that all is well.

Where you are is okay and there is nothing “wrong”. You are where you are because of your choices, thought patterns and beliefs. It is okay to accept where you are. This doesn’t mean staying idle, it means coming to terms with who and where you are and then taking the steps to get you to where you want to be.

39If you want to change yourself, your life and/or your patterns of thought, choose to do the opposite of that which you are doing now. If you think negative thoughts, choose to think positive thoughts. If you are an unkind person, choose to be kinder. If you are an alcoholic, choose not to drink and go to a meeting. If you are unhappy, choose to be happy and do something that feels good. If your life is boring, choose different activities to spice it up a little.

If you find yourself slipping back into your old patterns, and you will at first, just remember where and who you are – you are this moment and this moment only. Stop, take a breath, know that you have a choice, and be who you NOW want to be. The desire for change is just the beginning – you can do it, so just do it!

Your Journey Is Now

719Our journey is Now.  Always has been, always will be. Many of us tend to think our journey is about the desired destination, but it is not.  How could it be when all that is, is right Now?  

There was a time when all I focused on was getting to where I wanted to be, missing out on everything in between.  How sad it was when I realized how much I had missed – the feel of the sun, the smell of the air, the character in each and every tree, the smiling faces on the flowers, the cracks in the sidewalk, the love of friends and family, the beauty of each and every living individual around me.  It was then that I knew without a shadow of a doubt that our journey is Now.  It is not yesterday and it is not tomorrow.  

90Living your journey through the power of the present moment will take you to where you want to be and then some. It will take you moment by precious moment, bringing you more in tune with your Inner Life, the greater part of who you really are.  

I know it is not always easy to be here now, so just breathe your way through it.  When you start to feel any type of “I don’t want to be here”, take a few minutes and just breathe.  Close your eyes and allow yourself to feel the aliveness, the joy, the peace, and the happiness that is right there inside of you.  Your journey is now.  Relax, find peace within your Inner Life, savor the moment, and just be happy!

Yielding To What Is

03When we yield to the things in our lives that cause us anything but joy and happiness we are giving ourselves the freedom to be truly happy.  Yielding to or giving way to something doesn’t always take it away or change things, it just doesn’t run you over. You may still have to face the unwanted, but instead of it completely knocking you down, you are then able to let it run its course with peace instead of anger.

Yielding to what is isn’t about failure or giving up for that matter.  It is about allowing the natural flow of life and of being in tune with your Inner Life, the greater and more powerful part of who you are.  When you are in tune with your Inner Life being alive and living the life you want comes so much easier than fighting against it.

So I say to you, just yield.  Give way to everything that imprisons you in a negative state of being.  A state of being that keeps you out of tune with your Inner Life and therefore unhappy.  Just yield to all the negative behaviors, feelings and emotions you are holding onto and just let them go.  You are holding on too tight, you are fighting too hard, you are resisting your inner truth.  You are resisting life as it is.  Everything you want, need and desire is right here, right now, all you have to do is just yield and trust all is well.
