Decide What You Want

When we are faced with making a decision regarding any matter in our lives, it is up to us to DECIDE which would serve us better and/or enhance our life.  This could be anything from your career, relationships, personal well-being, health or where you live.

When we are unable to decide it creates an imbalance within us, which in turn causes us stress and anxiety.  It could also cause temporary feelings of unhappiness.  It is inevitable that we are going to have ups and downs from time to time, however it is important to decide on what will make you happy, even if in the long run, so you can continue living a less distracted life.  When you decide which way to go, the imbalance subsides and life automatically smooths itself out, leaving you with a more calm, settled, peaceful, and happy feeling.

Some decisions are going to be more difficult than others, but don’t use their difficulty as an excuse to put it off.  The most assured way to decide on what would be more fulfilling, is to think about each possibility and then see how it makes you feel, weighing both pros and cons.  One or the other is going to make you feel better than the other.  If not, than look a little deeper until there is some remnant of a spark within one or the other.

There may also be times when what you need to decide on is not something you want no matter how you look at it.  In this case, find as many positive aspects of it and remember you are the creator of your reality so this too can change.  Nothing has to remain the same unless you choose for it to.

83Decide what you are going to do and DO IT!  Don’t talk about doing it, just do it.  Not only will you be emptying your “to do” list, but you will also be fine tuning your connection to your Inner Life because you will be letting go of the stress and anxiety associated with living in indecision.

If you want to lose weight, decide to do so and do it.  If you want a career change, decide what you want to do, and do it.  If your relationships are unhealthy, decide to end them, and then do it.  If you want to totally change your life, decide to do it and do it. And most important, if you are not being you, DECIDE to be yourself and leave the rest behind!

Change Your Beliefs with Daily Affirmations

How would you like to create a positive shift in your vibration, become more in tune with your Inner Life, start attracting what you want, and live a truly happy life?  Why not start with something simple yet powerful?  Daily affirmations are a great way to set the tone for each and every day.  When read several times throughout your day, with true belief, they soon become your reality.  They replace the thoughts and beliefs that have been hindering your life experiences.

For example, how many of you struggle with money?  What are your core beliefs about money? What do you constantly tell yourself about money?  If there are no finances in your bank account it is because of what you are thinking and believing in regards to money.  Replace those thoughts with power affirmations such as:

I am and have always been wealthy.
I deserve all the money I want.
Money is always flowing into my life experience. 

How about losing those few extra pounds you have been fighting with?  Are you constantly telling yourself you are fat?  When you eat a bowl of ice cream or a bag of Funyons, do you believe it is going to pack on the pounds?  Try some of these affirmations:

I am a happy, healthy size ______ (fill in your size).
The food I eat compliments my health and well-being.
Exercise makes me feel energized and full of life.

Feel free to use the above affirmations, add to them, or create your own.  Post them in several places around your home and keep a copy with you.  Read them to yourself or out loud at least 3 times a day. Read them slowly with trust, faith and belief in them.  Allow the words to be absorbed through your body and mind.  Know them to be TRUE and they will be!  If you are up to the task and would like to give your affirmations a power booster, not only read them, but write them three times a day!!!

Feel Appreciation For Who You Are

08When you become consumed with negative thoughts about yourself, it is nearly impossible to feel appreciation for who you are.  You are absent of worthiness and full of self-doubt.  You get caught in a never-ending cycle of self-defeating behaviors and before you know it, you cannot find meaning or purpose in your life.  This state of mind will eventually affect your overall well-being including your health, not to speak of your relationships.

When you get caught in the gloom of negativity, the energy you put off becomes toxic and soon no one wants to be around you.  You are what many refer to as a “downer”.  You bring down those around you with your constant negative chatter, filling the room with nothing but your own pessimism.  It gets to the point where even you cannot stand to be in your own skin.  Those who love you try to offer guidance in an effort to help you feel better, but it does not do any good.  You take what they have to say with a grain of salt and continue with your own miserable life feeling sorry for yourself.  Is this really how you want to live?  Do you honestly believe you were born to feel and be miserable?  No!  You were born to enjoy life and to be happy!  You were born to expand within your own creation of your Inner Life.

07I know how difficult it can be to appreciate and feel good about yourself when you are full of self-loathing, but it is possible if you really want to.  Sometimes, in order to find and feel appreciation for who we are, regardless of how we got to where we are, it may serve us well to look outside ourselves first.  Select a few things, or even just one thing that makes you feel good and then feel appreciation for it until you feel a shift in your energy…..and you will.  For some this may take a matter of minutes; for others it may take a matter of days.  It all depends on how much you want to feel better and how much focus you give to this thing. 

When the shift occurs, there will be an automatic positive momentum started toward feeling better as long as you remain focused on what feels good.  From this point forward, fill yourself up with the people, places and things that bring you the most joy and happiness. Find appreciation for all of God’s perfect creations and then ALLOW yourself to find appreciation for who YOU really are – know that you too, are one of God’s perfect creations.  When you feel appreciation for who you are, it creates positive energy so strong that you will begin to love yourself unconditionally exactly as you are.  It is then that the darkness of negativity fades away and the positive light of who you really are shines through!!!
