Inner Life Breathing

69Inner Life Breathing is a valuable practice. Not only does it instantly move you into the present moment, putting you back in tune with your Inner Life, but it also promotes over-all feelings of well-being, relaxation, relieves tension, stress, anxiety and helps with insomnia. Inner Life breathing will also increase the oxygen in your bloodstream which will help lower blood pressure and heart rate. Once it becomes a part of your daily routine, it can be done anywhere at any time.

To start, you may find it helpful to begin your practice at bedtime and upon waking when you can close your eyes and leave all distractions behind. In time, “being within yourself” will come naturally and effortlessly.

Turn your attention to your natural rhythm of breathing. Take a few minutes to feel yourself breathing as you normally would. Feel everything about it from inhaling to exhaling to how the breath feels flowing through your body. Get to know your breathing by becoming one with it.  Gradually begin a slower and deeper breathing pattern. It is important to keep focusing on your breathing from within by feeling it, not thinking about it. The more you feel it, the more “alive” you will become from being in the present moment, from being in tune with your Inner Life. I use this method at bedtime and upon waking for 5 – 10 minutes and throughout the day for a few minutes at a time as needed.

393Aside from the benefits I already mentioned, practicing Inner Life breathing on a regular basis will free you from the confines of your mind. It will move you into the present moment where the past and future do not exist. It is where you will find peace and harmony. This is important to remember when faced with an unwanted life situation. The moment you feel yourself experiencing a negative emotion, turn your attention inward and begin your breathing practice. This will slow down the mind and keep your negative emotions from getting out of control.

Higher Energy Frequencies through Appreciation

Appreciation is not just about gratitude but also worth, quality, importance, and awareness of the wonderful things and people in our lives.

When you make appreciation a daily practice, focusing on the gratitude, worth, quality, importance and awareness of all that is good, it creates higher frequencies in your energy. These frequencies put you more in tune with your Inner Life, with who you really are. They will also release negativity associated with any resistance you may be allowing from an unwanted life experience.  Focusing on what is pleasing in your life literally removes you from what is not.

The Power of Appreciation – The Key to a Vibrant Life

The Art of Appreciation Gift Basket

Appreciation doesn’t just come from saying the words, it comes from deep inside your physical body. From your Inner Life where the power of your energy flows in and throughout your entire being as a complete whole.

When you go within, leaving the thoughts and words associated with appreciation behind, focusing solely on the feeling of it, allow yourself to become one with your own energy. Feel it as it flows through your entire body ~ the warmth of it, the touch of it, the power of it ~ the joy and happiness of it.

As with meditation, appreciation is a powerful tool that can in fact aid in relieving outer life “dis-eases” such as stress, anxiety, anger, frustration, emotional pain, addictions, depression, etc.  It takes you out of what is not (your outer life) and into what is (your inner life). However, this can only be done when your appreciation is true to heart.

Higher Energy Frequencies =

Abundance ~ Joy ~ Love ~ Happiness

To get up in the morning and say out loud “I appreciate all that I have” as you are flying out the door, is not going to get you where you want to be.  But, if you were to get up 5 minutes earlier, sit on the edge of your bed, your feet planted firmly on the floor, and while taking slow deep breaths, feel the appreciation for everything and everyone in your life, then will you begin to see your life change.  Holding onto those feelings of all that appreciation is, will send an even greater surge of positive and powerful energy throughout your entire life experience. There will be relief, freedom, peace, abundance, joy, love and true happiness.

It’s A New Day!

377It’s a new day!  Every day is a new opportunity to create your life the way you want it to be. It is entirely up to you as to how you want your day to go.  If you carry negativity from one day to the next you will get caught in a never-ending cycle of frustration, stress and unhappiness. But when you choose to be done with it and start fresh, you can then begin to build the life you want one moment at a time.

Our thinking will dictate how our day will go because it will either make us feel good or it will make us feel bad. There is an old saying “never go to bed angry”.   How you feel when you go to bed is how you are going to feel when you get out of bed.  Not only that, but how can one rest peacefully when their bodies are full of negative energy?!

371Every thought you think and every emotion you feel paves the road ahead. Negativity is nothing but a waste of time – your time – especially if the life you are seeking is a happy one. It is understood that some days are not going to be that great and that is okay.  We will never stop having good or bad days, but we can take control and try our best to create better days ahead. A better day begins the second you wake up.  It will be up to you to choose what lies ahead.  And yes, this can be accomplished with very little effort.  All it takes is the right attitude – a positive attitude.

369Regardless of what happened today or yesterday, do your best to let it go before you go to bed. Just be done with it and know in your heart that better days await you.  If you find it difficult to let go, try some deep breathing exercises or a sleep meditation. Both will release the tension you are holding onto and both will help you sleep more soundly.  Upon waking, remind yourself the only time that matters is right Now. There is no need to go back and reminisce about the prior day’s frustrations.  Stay focused on what you are doing now; in the present moment, and fill your mind with positive thoughts.

367A great way to start your day is to stay in bed for a few extra minutes allowing yourself to feel the essence of all that you want and desire. If you do this on a consistent basis, your mind will automatically sync with those positive feelings on its own and before you know it, you are bouncing out of bed every morning with joy, energy and happiness!
