Be, Have, and Live In Happiness

There will always be times throughout our lives when we experience periods of unhappiness, of feeling down in the dumps.  But regardless of how we are feeling, it is our choice as to whether or not we want to stay there or move ourselves back to a better feeling place.  There is nothing or no one who can make you feel anything ~ you are the only one who is in control of how you feel.  Yes, I know, we like to blame others for how we feel and we like to blame the world for how our life is playing out, but in reality and in truth, your life…

Feeling Good Leads to Positive Living

I never believed it either – that something as simple as choosing to feel good no matter what would change my life, but it did and it still does.  The more I choose to feel good, the more abundance flows into my life, and the more my life turns into positive living.   Positive living is not just about feeling good or having a positive attitude, it’s about creating a positive life no matter what comes your way.  It’s about living in and through your Inner Life instead of your outer life.  It’s about making positive choices and decisions that will enhance your life physically, mentally, and spiritually. It’s about choosing…

To Feel Good Is the Best Option

If feeling good is the best option, then why do so many people choose not to feel good?  Why do so many people do the things, eat the things, or say the things that leave them feeling less than good?  I have pondered this for many, many years because like you, I have not always chosen the “feel good” path in life.  In fact, there were times when I chose to do things that I knew without a shadow of a doubt would make me feel absolutely miserable and yet on I went with it!   I believe what happens is that we sink to the point of losing our…

    The Gift of Self-Love

To truly and fully love one’s self unconditionally is the greatest gift you can give not only to yourself but to others. When you live in and through love, you are living completely in tune with your Inner Life, the greater part of who you are. The love of self will radiate the pure nature of your true being.  It will, without effort, create life experiences that will bring you peace, appreciation, well-being, joy, happiness and abundance. Every piece of our lives play out to the tune in which we created it ~ happy or unhappy ~ positive or negative ~ difficult or easy.  When you live in and through…

    Be Easy On Yourself

Why do we give ourselves such a hard time? So you ate a donut instead of a fruit, had a few drinks, didn’t do the housework, skipped going to the gym, laid on the couch all day.  In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter?  As long as you did not cause yourself or anyone else harm, who cares what you did or didn’t do.  Ten steps forward and one step back is not a big deal.  Instead of focusing on the one step back, focus on the ten steps forward.  Focus on the ten pieces of fruit you ate last week instead of the one donut.  Focus…

Happiness or Unhappiness – It’s YOUR Choice

A happy life starts with you, just as an unhappy life starts with you ~ no one else, just you.  You are the one who controls how you feel about anything and everything, which in turn controls how life is going to feel to you.  Let’s say you are having a bad day.  From the moment your feet hit the floor nothing seems to go the way you want it to.  You are faced with one unwanted situation after another and before you know it you are caught up in a tunnel of frustration, irritation, stress, anxiety, negativity and maybe even anger.  If you keep living and re-living where you…

    Suicide Isn’t Just About Death

Suicide is not just the act of killing one’s self.  Suicide is a long painful road filled with an endless feeling of such deep depression that it could be compared to that of slowly burning to death from the inside out.  Suicide is a choice not to be judged or criticized.  When a suicide story hits the news it is typically responded to in a negative way.  Many would say it is selfish, cowardly and an easy way out.  Some would even look at it as a sign of weakness, but I feel differently.  It takes a lot of strength and courage to make a choice of such magnitude ~…

    Letting Go of Emotional Wounds

There are no emotional wounds that are unable to be healed.  If your wounds are not healed or are not healing as fast as you would like, it is through no fault but of your own.  We are the ones who are in control of our healing.  We are the ones who control how our wounds affects us.  And if you want to take it one step further, we are the ones who turn something into a wound.  Yes, we all have them, and there may be more to come, but it is up to us as to how they play out in our lives.  We can allow them to…

The Twists and Turns of Trust

What is it about trust that gets us so tied up in knots?  I know I have had my share of trust issues, a few of which I still need to lay to rest.  However, life has become easier and more peaceful since I came to the realization of what trust issues really are and where they come from.  In simple terms, trust issues are evil monsters that control us because we allow them to.  We allow them to run amuck 24/7 not giving ourselves a fighting chance to let go and move on.  They are the little mind monsters that remind you over and over again how someone hurt…

    Give Yourself A Second Chance

There may come a time in your life when you need a second chance; perhaps even more than once.  Through whatever means this desire has come into your life, start from where you are.  There is no need to go back and rehash what was done right or wrong or how you ended up where you are.  There is also no need to start worrying about the future, as to whether or not things will work out or get better.  Just start by taking the first step in the direction that will bring you peace, well-being and happiness. Second chances are not about righting your wrongs or proving your worth. …
