Just Be You for the Sake of Happiness

Just be YOU!  When you choose to be YOU, you show the world your natural, unpainted, genuine self.  You comfortably share who you really are with those around you.  Living through YOU makes you feel alive and connected to all that is. You honestly and openly share your personality and respond to life in harmony as who you truly are.  You follow your heart toward your own dreams and desires and live by your own morals and standards.  Like a light shining in the darkness, you allow others to see you completely. Some would refer to us as “real”. When you choose to be someone other than who you truly…

    The Journey Back to You

There will be times in your life when you experience feelings of unhappiness toward something or someone in your life or from your own personal beliefs about yourself.  These feelings are only temporary.  They are nothing more than a brief separation from who You really are.  Once you get back to You everything and everyone in your life will fall easily and effortlessly into place.  Your life will turn in the direction you want it to go, guaranteed.  Understanding who You really are and why you are here is the first step in your journey back to You.  The easiest part to understand is that you chose to be born…

    Live Your Life Happily

Living your life happily, in your own way, does not make you selfish, it makes you healthy.  Over the years I have been surprised at the number of people who live their lives through what others want, need or expect from them, not to speak of what they THINK someone wants, needs or expects.  They feel an innate obligation to do for others, in a way that ends up stealing their own happiness.  Why do we do this?  We do it because we believe it is the right thing to do, but I have to ask, who is it right for?  It is not right for you if it causes…

    Filling Your Life’s Voids

A void is “totally lacking in something”.  A healthy void is one that is temporary; it is felt but it does not turn your life upside down.  You acknowledge and accept it for what it is and move on.  It is when the void is not temporary that it becomes unhealthy.  A void can come from anything that leaves you feeling empty.  It does not necessarily have to be a major life event such as the loss of a loved one.  It could be something as “simple” as cutting up all your credit cards.  And trust me that can leave a hole inside of you the size of Wal-Mart! It…

Don’t Let It Affect Your Today

Every day is a new day; a new beginning if you choose.  What happened yesterday no longer matters unless you want it to matter.  Some of us wake with dread due to things we have said or done the day before we are not proud of.  Some of us wake with dread over things we have not said or done that we know we should have.  Regardless of what you have done or not done, don’t let it affect your today.  Move on with a positive attitude and a renewed spirit. When the negative energy of regret is carried around it will eventually build on itself.  It will stop you…

Now Is the Time To Get Unstuck

Are you stuck; unable to move forward in any or all areas of your life?  Do you feel weary; your feet heavy as if you are wearing concrete shoes?  You walk 100 miles and yet you are still standing where you started.  If so, it is time to get unstuck; to take control of your life and your own happiness! Getting unstuck is easier than you think.  Don’t let fear hold you back, for there is nothing to fear.  All you have to do is accept things as they are.  In other words, stop fighting against that which you do not want.  The more you fight against it, the more…

    Life’s Little Hiccups

From time to time, life will hand you some unexpected hiccups.  More than likely it will be something unplanned or unwanted.  Instead of allowing this little hiccup to get in the way of your happiness, embrace it for what it is.  For what it is, is all that it is.  In most cases, the scenario could be much worse so take a minute to find gratitude for it being no more than what it was.  Too many of us allow “negative” things to stress us out or control how we feel, but it is important to remember that you are the one who has control over how you feel.  Whatever…

    Letting Go of Emotional Pain

The mind creates emotional pain through the thoughts it thinks.  These thoughts come from your resistance to “what is”.  The more intense your pain, the more you are resisting the present moment.  Never will you find emotional pain in the present moment.  In reality the pain you are suffering is just an illusion created by the mind.  However, because many of us allow our minds to control our emotions we live with this unnecessary pain.  This is the same as living outside your-self; outside the present moment. You are and will always be the present moment, but you may not always be in tune with it.  The present moment is…

    Lacking Belief in Yourself

Believing in yourself will make you feel confident, self-assured and worthy.  You will stand up for what you believe in, acknowledge your accomplishments, and take pride in your work and efforts. Although things may not always go the way you want them to, you recognize that you did your best and you keep on trying.  You do not acknowledge “failure” as a negative but as a stepping stone toward something better.  You have faith and trust that all is well and great things are yet to come.  You are authentic in who you are and treat yourself with respect.  You nurture and care for your physical, mental and spiritual well-being.…

    When Life Feels Crappy

A crappy life begins with you.  You are the one who controls how you feel which in turn controls how your life is going to feel to you.  Let’s say your week starts out on the wrong foot.  You reluctantly get up on a Monday morning, head into work and you are immediately overwhelmed with work.  You become frustrated, irritated and just want to go home.  The longer you hold onto these negative feelings the worse you are going to feel and the worse your day is going to be.  It is not Monday’s fault or the work’s fault making you feel this way; it is your fault.  Remember, you…
