Stop Living In Unhappiness

If you are aware that there is happiness and there is unhappiness, why are you still living in unhappiness? Are you putting your happiness in the hands of other things such as personal status, material possessions, or relationships? What happened in your life that caused you to become out of tune with your Inner Life, the greater part of who you really are, and therefore unhappy? This is a question that many of you will never be able to answer, but in reality it doesn’t matter. All that matters is getting back in tune with your Inner Life, how you feel NOW, and being truly happy again. What has happened and what may happen is not as important as what is happening NOW.

When you are totally honest with yourself you will know deep down it is never something or someone who causes your unhappiness. You will know it comes from within because you will feel like something is missing, like you have this huge hole inside you and nothing you put in it fits quite right. It is like trying to put the square peg in the round hole ~ you know it doesn’t fit but you keep forcing it until one day you wake up and realize IT DOES NOT FIT ~ I DO NOT FIT IN THIS UNHAPPY LIFE!

As we grow and move through life, it is all too common to become distant and distracted from our Inner Life. This is not a fault, it is just the way of the human experience. Within a very short period of time we are fixated on what our Outer Life has to offer instead of being focused on the truer part of who we are and what our Inner Life has to offer. Over time, if the distance and distractions from your Inner Life do not dissipate, you will eventually begin to feel it in a variety of ways. It could come in the form of uneasiness, feeling unsettled, anxiety, loneliness, weight gain or loss, addictions, self-inflicted pain, anger, hatred, illness, depression or chronic unhappiness. All of these “dis-eases” are a byproduct of your OUTER life and to the attachments you hold there. They have never been, nor will they ever be, a part of your Inner Life, of who you really are.

If your unhappiness is overpowering your happiness or depriving you of a joyful life experience, it is time to take a step back and evaluate your life ~ truthfully. This can be difficult for some because people fear admitting the truth will cause more pain, and at first it might, but once you have acknowledged that which is the true cause of your unhappiness, you can then begin to acknowledge and FOCUS on that which will create true and lasting happiness. It is at this point your life WILL change and you will gracefully move back in tune with your Inner Life.

The root cause of all unhappiness is being out of tune with your Inner Life and depending too much on your outer life to fulfill you. Piled high are all those outer life things that create your negative emotions. The problems, the broken relationships, the unsatisfying careers, the lack of money, material possessions or your unhealthy behaviors and choices. Once you have let go of your attachment to the outer life and turn your focus inward, to your Inner Life, you will naturally fall back in tune with it. You are never disconnected from it, but through this negative emotion you can easily and consistently become out of tune with it.

Your Outer Life is not at all a bad thing, for it is full of excitement and adventures. And letting go of your attachment to it doesn’t mean to stop wanting the things you will find there. It just means to stop relying on those things for true and lasting happiness because it will never be enough. When you focus first on what is within, making your Inner Life your foundation, your starting point for all that life has to offer, you will naturally be in balance with your Outer Life. What this means is that when what you want is planted, nurtured and born through your Inner Life first, it expands, grows and manifests into your Outer Life with its core being purity, well-being, peace, joy, love and happiness. But when you plant your dreams and desires in your outer life first, they are born with the need to attach yourself to something or someone with the belief it / they will make you happy. The foundation of such may as well be made out of sand. It may appear strong and sturdy, but eventually it will cave in.

Your transition into true and lasting happiness will in fact dissolve any emotional pain associated with your outer life. The things you feared the most won’t create as much upset as you may have thought they would. This is because when you are in tune with your Inner Life, when you are focused on being happy, your reactions and thoughts change with the desire of wanting to feel good. You will react in a more positive manner ~ one that will not affect your happiness the way it used to. You are now in control.

To get to happiness, you have to stop being in unhappiness. You know where you want to go, so stop being where you are. If your heart’s desire is to be truly happy, isn’t it time you are? The only one responsible for your happiness is you. Your feelings are controlled by your thoughts and your thoughts are controlled by you. You cannot blame your unhappiness on your partner, family, friends, work, world events, politics, lack of money or anything else that resides in your outer life. Just like everything else in this world we always have a choice. We have free will to choose how we feel. So why do so many people choose to feel and be unhappy? Because they believe true happiness comes from the people, places and things around us instead of within us.

(Writer’s Note: I realize there are extenuating circumstances in which someone’s living conditions or environment would not consciously allow them the choice to be happy, but for the purpose of this blog, I am speaking in general terms associated with common scenarios.)

Making happiness your number one priority changes how you feel, how you think, what you have and what you don’t have. It creates healthy relationships, satisfying careers, overall well-being, and yes, it even creates more money in the bank. But most importantly, it puts you back in tune with your Inner Life. What more could you ask for?

How Bad Do You Want It?

728.jpgHow bad do you want to be happy ~ to live in happiness instead of pain?  How bad do you just want to break open and free yourself from all the things you know in your heart are causing you unhappiness, sadness, grief, depression or pain?  When is enough going to be enough ~ what is it going to take for you to wake up and see what’s happening?  To see how much time you are wasting ~ precious time ~ time you will never ever be able to get back.  Do you have to completely lose yourself before you realize, before you see?

Do you truly and deeply, more so than anything else in this world want to feel good and be truly happy no matter what?  Are you willing to do whatever it takes to get to where you want to be?  Are you willing to turn and walk away ~ to make any and all changes necessary?  To walk away from the things that only you know are holding you back.  To walk away from the things you know are not a part of who you truly are.  The things that cause you the most grief.  Are you willing to let them go for your own freedom and peace of mind?  Are you willing to let go of the people in your life who enable negative behaviors, show more support for who you are not, then who you are.  The people who you may care about but just don’t see in your future.  The people who remain stagnant with no dreams of their own ~ who live unhealthy and unhappy lives.

696Are you 100% willing to put yourself first, to love yourself so much that you are willing to pay the price for your freedom.  The price of stepping into the unknown with faith and courage.  The price of being willing, no matter what, to face your fear and pain head on ~ to no longer be afraid but instead to love every moment of this time, of this change.  To embrace it, to appreciate it, to accept it and then to let it go?  Nothing will change if you don’t move through it.  Nothing will change if you don’t let it go.  It is just a feeling ~ a feeling that can no longer hurt you or make you unhappy because you are not willing to let it.

375Are you ready for the most incredible journey of your lifetime?  Then I say this to you ~ stop lying to yourself and everyone else!  Stop walking around waiting for things to change!  Stop existing and start living!  Stop relying so heavily on your outer life and rely solely on your Inner Life ~ on the greater and most powerful part of all that you are, all that you’ve been, and all that you will ever be. Stop being unhappy and do whatever it takes to get to where you want to be!  Happiness is the key to all that life has to offer – guaranteed!

It’s Not Life Not Giving You What You Want, It’s You

75How are things going for you?  Is your life right where you want it to be or are you in a battle against it?  It’s okay to be where you are regardless of whether or not it is where you want to be.  It may not be the greatest place in the world, but it is a place.  A place you can be unhappy and miserable about or a place you can transform into something happy and fulfilling.  I know this because I have been there.  Maybe not the exact same circumstances, but I have certainly had my share of less than colorful life experiences, all of which I am extremely grateful for.

When things happen that we aren’t exactly thrilled about, it is up to us as to how we are going to let it affect our well-being and our life.  For most, and as a natural instinct of being a human being, we have a tendency to allow negative experiences completely take control of us.  It starts with the constant negative chatter in our heads playing the experience over and over again as if it is going to take it away or make it better.  Once your mind and the thoughts you are thinking have your full attention, the body soon follows.  It follows in the same manner it would if you were feeding yourself junk food 24/7.  It becomes poisoned leaving you feeling physically drained, sluggish, unhealthy, uncomfortable, unhappy and sick.  The worst part, at least for me, was also becoming out of tune with my Inner Life, the greater part of who I am.  Once this happens, life feels extremely difficult and becomes a constant struggle because you are no longer living through your Inner Life, but through your outer life.

77Unfortunately, thousands upon thousands of people have a really hard time with that which they don’t want, filling themselves with fear, worry, stress and anxiety.  In some cases, because the person doesn’t want to feel what the experience is causing them to feel, they turn to drugs and alcohol in an effort to numb themselves from feeling anything at all.  But as we all know, once the initial feeling of feeling nothing fades away, everything is still the same, and perhaps even worse because now you have added even more negativity and poison to your body, mind and spirit.

People tend to believe that life in general creates the problems in their lives.  If you are unhappy, broke, sick, hurt, or not getting what you want, the blame goes towards life.  You get angry, resentful, and even feel hatred for life.  For you, life turns into hard times and suffering.  It turns into something that is not joyful or satisfying for you anymore.  But, I am here to tell you the truth ~ it is not life not giving you what you want, it’s you.  You are the one who controls how you feel which in turn controls what manifests in your life.  So when you allow what you don’t want to affect you in a negative way you are not going to feel good.  You are going to be filled with negative thoughts and energy.  This alone will only create more of what you don’t want.

69If you are at a place where you don’t want to be, then stop being there.  Stop being a complete part of it and filling yourself up with it every minute of every day.  Just because there are things going on in your life you don’t want doesn’t mean you have to remain stuck in the middle of it all.  You can remove yourself from the negativity of it just by choosing to do so.  I realize it may be easier said than done, but when you make your happiness and how you feel the priority in your life you would be amazed at how quickly things change and fall into place.  

No matter what your current situation is, it is up to you as to how it will all play out.  If you fight against it, it will only make matters worse.  But if you open your heart up to it, accepting it and embracing it for what it is, everything will in fact change.  Trust me, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt how difficult it can be to love where you don’t want to be.  However, love is the power of life and it will transform you and your life in ways you never thought possible.  Love is a natural part of who you are ~ it is who you are ~ it is your Inner Life.  When you choose to live through your Inner Life, through love, everything else follows – peace, faith, trust, knowing, well-being, joy, and happiness.  There is no more fighting or struggle.

78I realize there are some situations in which there will be consequences.  Consequences you do not have control over, but just keep in mind, you still have control over how you feel about it and what you can create out of it.  Don’t allow yourself to get caught up in the what if’s.  What is done is done.  What is happening is happening.  Go with it, accept it, embrace it, love it and trust it.  Trust it.

Remember, it is not life not giving you what you want, it’s you.  Allow the positive flow of loving energy flow through you and in you and then see and feel what happens!
