The Journey Back to You

There will be times in your life when you experience feelings of unhappiness toward something or someone in your life or from your own personal beliefs about yourself.  These feelings are only temporary.  They are nothing more than a brief separation from who You really are.  Once you get back to You everything and everyone in your life will fall easily and effortlessly into place.  Your life will turn in the direction you want it to go, guaranteed.

Understanding who You really are and why you are here is the first step in your journey back to You.  The easiest part to understand is that you chose to be born into your physical body for the purpose of living a HAPPY life experience.  The physical body is only a small part of who You are.  The GREATER part of who You are is energy – pure, positive energy which is also the equivalent of true happiness.  Some refer to this energy as Source, the Universe, True-Self, Being, Inner-Being, and even God.  Whatever term feels most comfortable to you, use it.  I of course refer to it as “You” because it is in fact a part of who we are.  It is the greater part of You that has the power to create the life you want and create true and lasting happiness.  

Everything and everyone is made up of energy so we are always surrounded by it and we are always attracting the same likeness of our own energy.  This is why you experience the same situations over and over again or why you keep attracting the same type of people in your life.  The type of energy you put out is the driving force to what shows up in your life experience.  Once you understand the power of your energy you will never want to go back to any type of negativity.

You are the power that creates your life.

You are the power that can CHANGE your life.

The most effective way to get back to You is to live in the present moment because You are the present moment.  There is nothing but positive energy, true happiness, unconditional love, compassion and appreciation in the present moment.  There is no past, future, stress, worry, dis-ease, depression or lack.  It is when we live outside ourselves; outside of who we really are that we suffer and live unhappy lives.

If you find it difficult at first to live in the Here and Now, try focusing on things that make you feel good and then feel appreciation for them.  For example, if you are not happy with your job and you dread going to work, do not focus on this, but instead focus on the things you do outside of work that make you happy.  Find appreciation in the fact that you are able to do things you enjoy because you have a job.  You may not be able to do everything you want right now but as soon as you take your focus off the negative there will be an immediate shift in your energy.  It is this shift in energy that will create different life experiences more in tune with the positive energy you are now emitting.  The more consistently you live through You, the more your life will change.

If you live with a poor self-image which creates feelings of unhappiness, low self-esteem or unworthiness, you are living outside yourself because You would never see yourself as anything but perfect exactly the way you are.  To get to a better feeling place and back to You, focus on what you do like about yourself and what you are good at.  This will pull you away from self-criticism and create positive energy.  This positive energy will motivate you to focus more on healthy acts of self-care because you will in fact feel good about yourself and you will care about how you feel.

The journey back to You, in simple terms, means living through positive energy as much as you can, which is the same as living through You. There is nothing complicated about it because it is your natural state of being.

You are never without You so when you start to feel unhappy about anything in your life, just remember all you have to do is shift your energy from negative to positive and just like that you will be back to You!

  2. Great reminder! What we put out is what we get back. And it is easy to turn that around by just changing our thoughts! One minute of concentration on something positive can turn the entire day around for me!
